📌About the Event
PEC Hacks 4.0 is a free, 36-hour international-level student hackathon organized by Panimalar Engineering College, Chennai. Participants will work in teams to develop software or hardware solutions for real-world challenges across domains such as healthcare, FinTech, EduTech, sustainability, artificial intelligence, Web3, and open innovation. The event includes industry mentorship, project demonstrations, networking opportunities, and cash and sponsor prizes.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Open to engineering and technology students, including undergraduate, M.Tech and M.E. students.
- A separate innovation track is available for high-school students.
- Arts and science college students are not eligible for the main engineering track.
- Inter-college teams are permitted.
- Participants cannot compete individually and must form a team of three to five members.
- Both beginners and experienced developers may participate.
- Teams may develop software, hardware or combined solutions.
- Participants must carry their student ID, laptop and required project equipment.
- All participants must follow the Major League Hacking code of conduct.
- Initial ideas are screened before teams are shortlisted.

- Advertised overall prize pool: ₹80 lakh+
- Champion: ₹1,00,000
- Runner-up: ₹75,000
- Second runner-up: ₹50,000
- Best All-Girls Team: ₹35,000
- High School Track winner: ₹25,000
- Additional sponsor-track prizes include gadgets, swag kits and technology-based rewards.
- Selected participants can access industry mentorship, networking opportunities and internship exposure.
- The event website currently lists wireless headphones for the Auth0 track and Google swag kits for the Google Gemini track.
