📌About the Event
The PeoplesPadma 2026 Reel Contest invites citizens to create short reels highlighting the inspiring journeys of Padma Award recipients. Participants must showcase how ordinary individuals achieved extraordinary impact through their service, talent and contribution to society. The reel may also explain how the awardee’s journey inspires the participant to adopt similar values or actions in their own life. The contest is being conducted by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with MyGov.

- Reel duration: Minimum 60 seconds and maximum 75 seconds
- Video format: MP4
- Orientation: Portrait mode with a 9:16 aspect ratio
- Video quality: High-resolution video
- Language: Hindi, English or any Indian regional language
- Captions: Recommended, especially when using a regional language
- Submission method: Upload the reel on a publicly accessible platform such as YouTube, Instagram or Google Drive, and submit its public link through MyGov.
- MyGov requirement: Participants must register on MyGov and keep their profile information accurate and updated.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Nationality: The contest is open to Indian citizens.
- Age limit: There is no specified minimum or maximum age limit.
- Eligible participants: Students, professionals, content creators and other Indian citizens may participate.
- Ineligible participants: Employees of MyGov and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, along with their relatives, cannot participate due to potential conflicts of interest.
- Originality requirement: The reel must be the participant’s original work and must not have been published previously.
- AI-content rule: AI-generated images are not permitted in the reel.
- Plagiarism: Copied or plagiarised entries will be disqualified.
- Public accessibility: The submitted video link must remain publicly accessible so that the organisers can view the reel.
- Content restrictions: Reels must not contain provocative, objectionable or inappropriate material.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- Cash prize: The top 10 winners will receive ₹21,000 each.
- Total announced cash rewards: ₹2,10,000 across 10 winners.
- Special opportunity: The top 10 winners will get an opportunity to attend the Padma Awards Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
- Travel support: Winners travelling from outside Delhi-NCR will be provided economy-class air travel, supported by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
