📌 About the Program
The Photo Contest – 2026 (3rd Edition) is organized by the Department of Communication, University of Hyderabad (UoHyd) on the occasion of World Photography Day 2026.
This national competition offers an open-theme platform for student photographers and enthusiasts to showcase their visual storytelling skills. Selected entries will be featured in a 5-Day Photo Exhibition hosted by the university.

- Submission Deadline: Wednesday, August 5, 2026 (by 5:00 PM IST)
- Judgment Date: Monday, August 10, 2026 (by 5:00 PM IST)
- 5-Day Photo Exhibition: August 19 – August 23, 2026
- Certificate & Prize Presentation: Thursday, August 20, 2026 (at 3:00 PM IST)

🎯 Eligibility & Submission Guidelines
- Eligibility: Open to bona fide students (+2 / Higher Secondary, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Ph.D.) from any recognized college, institution, or university. Non-student/professional entries are also invited for display in the exhibition.
- Theme: Open / Flexible Theme (Color or Monochrome).
- Maximum Entries: Up to 4 digital photographs per participant.
- Recency Requirement: Photos must have been taken on or after August 20, 2025 (metadata must be preserved; RAW files may be requested for verification).

photo no._caption_authorname.jpeg(e.g.,01_thebliss_srinivas.jpeg) - Dimensions & File Size: 12 × 18 inches (soft copy); size between 2 MB to 4 MB.
- Resolution: Maximum 200 DPI resolution.
- File Format:
- Restrictions: Computer-generated imagery, photomontages, AI-generated art, signatures, or watermarks are strictly prohibited.
