Portaldot Online Mini Hackathon Season 1
Portaldot
📌 About the Event
Portaldot Online Mini Hackathon Season 1 is a streamlined, lightweight virtual build sprint engineered directly on the global developer platform DoraHacks.io. Designed specifically to bypass bureaucratic competition bottlenecks, this sprint prioritizes a low barrier entry ecosystem. Instead of demanding market ready commercial enterprises, Portaldot challenges global developers to quickly prototype, build, and test a runnable Minimum Viable Product (MVP). It acts as an operational fast-track for developers to transform raw architecture concepts into functional software deployments while plugging into long-term decentralized grant channels.
📅 Critical Timeline
- Pre-registration Opened: April 20, 2026 @ 5:30 AM IST
- Submission Intake Opened: May 4, 2026 @ 5:30 AM IST

- Demo Day Matrix: May 31, 2026 (Live Virtual Broadcast)
🚀 Eligibility & Participant Profiles
The tournament enforces an open, international boundary layer. The organizing board welcomes:
- Core Ecosystem Architects: Rust, Ink!, and Substrate systems developers.
- Full-Stack Engineers: Traditional Web2 engineers transitioning to Web3 decentralized logic layers.
- Structure: Open to both independent solo developers and collaborative team formations possessing verified engineering backgrounds.
📋 Mandatory Technical Requirements
To pass the deployment gate, codebases must align precisely with the following constraints:
- Native Baseline: The system must be compiled and deployed directly on the Portaldot Blockchain.
- Gas Economics: The underlying smart contracts must explicitly execute and utilize POT as the native gas token.
- State of Readiness: The project must deliver a runnable, fully demo-ready MVP.
- Open Source Framework: All core contracts must remain completely open source (the specific licensing model remains at the discretion of the creator).
- The Deliverable Package: Teams must submit a valid GitHub repository link, a comprehensive
README.mdcontaining initialization scripts, and a clear video walk-through demonstrating functional code capabilities.
