📌About the Event
Riders’ Comfort Pod 2026 is an international architecture and design competition organised by YAC – Young Architects Competitions. Participants are invited to design a compact micro-architecture for delivery riders that can be integrated into cities and provide essential facilities for resting, waiting, recharging devices, taking shelter and accessing basic supplies. Beyond functionality, the proposed pod should act as a recognisable urban symbol that improves the dignity, visibility and working conditions of delivery riders.

- Competition type: International idea-level architecture and urban design competition
- Mode of conduct: Online; registration and project submission are completed through the YAC competition platform.
- Design challenge: Create a compact, recognisable and functional micro-architecture for delivery riders.
- The proposed pod should:
- Offer riders a place to rest and wait.
- Provide protection from heat, rain and other weather conditions.
- Support charging, resupplying and other basic work-related requirements.
- Be capable of fitting into the existing urban environment.
- Improve the visibility and dignity of delivery riders as workers and citizens.
- The competition is conceptual, and participants are not restricted to designing for one specific city or physical location.
- The competition language is English.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibility:
- The competition is open internationally.
- Students, architecture graduates, young architects, designers and professionals can participate.
- No specific professional qualification restriction has been announced.
- Registration is completed per participating team.
- Participants must propose an original micro-architecture that responds to the needs of delivery riders.
- The design should balance:
- Practical rider facilities
- Comfort and safety
- Urban integration
- Architectural identity
- Social value and worker dignity
- The pod should work as both a functional facility and a recognisable symbol for the rider community.
- Participants must follow the technical requirements, presentation format and submission instructions provided in the official RCP Rules competition package.
- Projects must be submitted before the material submission deadline. Compliance with the official timeline is mandatory.
- Entries will be evaluated by an international professional jury comprising:
