📌About the Event
Signal Shift 2026 is a national-level hackathon organised by the Signal & Image Processing Department, SIMATS Engineering, Saveetha University. Students work in teams to propose and develop innovative technology solutions across areas such as AI & ML, fintech, healthcare, sustainability, AR/VR and IoT. The competition begins with an online idea-submission round, followed by an on-campus hackathon for shortlisted teams, with a total prize pool of ₹20,000.

- Organizer: Signal & Image Processing Department, SIMATS Engineering, Saveetha University.
- Mode: Hybrid – Phase 1 is online, while Phase 2 is conducted on campus at SIMATS Engineering, Saveetha University.
- Team Size: 2–5 members. Individual participation is not allowed.
- Phase 1: Teams submit an idea presentation in PPT/PDF format online.
- Phase 2: Shortlisted teams build their solution on campus and demonstrate it before an expert judging panel.
- Problem Domains: Smart Finances, Bio Matrix, Sustainability & Climate Change, AR/VR, AI & ML, and IoT & Smart Infrastructure.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students from colleges across India can participate.
- Teams must contain 2–5 students.
- Ideas must belong to one of the specified hackathon domains.
- Off-domain submissions may be disqualified.
- Previously published, awarded or plagiarised work is not permitted and can lead to immediate disqualification.
- Round 1 Evaluation: Submitted presentations are reviewed for innovation and alignment with the selected domain.
- Final Evaluation: Shortlisted teams develop their solution on campus and present a live demo before an expert judging panel.
