The Small Project Big Impact 2026 Architecture Competition is Building Trust International’s 10th global design challenge. It invites architects, designers, engineers, students, and creative thinkers to develop small-scale, practical projects that create meaningful social or environmental change. Entries should address the needs of underserved communities, vulnerable groups, humanitarian causes, or wildlife conservation while remaining realistic, sustainable, and buildable within a maximum budget of $50,000.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibility:
- Open to participants from all countries.
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Eligible participants include:
- Qualified architects
- Designers
- Engineers
- Architecture students
- Students from related design or engineering disciplines
- Participants may enter individually or form multidisciplinary teams.
- Teams may include multiple members and affiliated organisations.
- Participants may collaborate with a local NGO or community partner.
- Indian architecture, design, and engineering students who meet the age requirement are eligible to participate.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- At least one winning proposal will receive full project funding of up to $50,000 to bring the design to life.
- The award is intended for project construction and implementation rather than being provided as an unrestricted cash prize.
- Building Trust International and its partners may work with the winning team during the delivery and implementation stages.
- Selected projects may be published and promoted through the organisation’s website and social-media platforms.
- Particularly outstanding submissions may receive an Honourable Mention.
