📌 About the Event
The Snapdragon Multiverse Hackathon – Bangalore is Qualcomm’s flagship, physical co-creation tech sprint and one of its largest global developer gatherings of the year. This 2-day event challenges builders to step into the “Snapdragon Multiverse” and engineer the next generation of distributed, cross-device AI application networks.
Unlike traditional development sprints bounded by narrow tracks, this hackathon has no predefined tracks or limitations. Participants are given an unconstrained canvas to build any real-world tool (e.g., productivity pipelines, edge intelligent assistants, or smart infrastructure solutions), provided their codebase explicitly orchestrates computing power across a diverse hardware grid.

- Selection Shortlist Notifications: July 1, 2026
- ⚡ Live Hacking Windows: July 11, 2026 (01:00 PM) to July 12, 2026 (06:00 PM).
- Logistics Note: Travel and accommodation costs are not reimbursed by the organizers; selected teams must finance their own logistics to the Bangalore campus.
🎛️ Provided Hardware Ecosystem & Rules
Every accepted squad is supplied with an identical state-of-the-art edge computing rig to construct their distributed control architecture:
- Central Control Hub: A premium Copilot+ PC powered natively by Snapdragon® X Series processors.
- Edge Sensory & Processing Devices: An Android/Snapdragon mobile device alongside an Arduino UNO Q microcontroller module.
- Cloud Infrastructure Layer: Full integrated development access to the high-performance Qualcomm AI Cloud 100.
- Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): Teams are permitted to bring additional personal Snapdragon-powered hardware or microcontrollers to extend their system.

- Criteria: Awarded by an expert judging panel for unmatched technical architecture, code optimization, novelty, and seamless execution on native Snapdragon platforms.

🕶️ 2. Special Prize Category — Multi-Device Innovation
- Criteria: Tailored for the “architects of the multiverse.” It rewards the project that best distributes heavy functionality cohesively across form factors (e.g., capturing sensor data on the Arduino UNO Q, executing AI inference locally on the X Series PC, and facilitating front-end user interaction via the mobile device).
- Payout: Ray-Ban Meta AI Glasses for every single team member.
🤖 3. Popularization Award
- Criteria: Peer-voted. Selected entirely by fellow hackathon participants for the most engaging live system demo and presentation pitch.
- Payout: An individual UNO Q microcontroller board for each team member.
🎓 Target Demographics & Eligibility Restrictions
- Age & Roster Caps: All participants must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration. Open exclusively to teams comprising 3 to 5 developers.
- Corporate & Civil Restrictions: Individuals affiliated with any government agencies or state-owned entities are completely barred from participation. Individuals categorized as a Restricted Person under international trade lists are excluded.
- Proposal Limits: Exactly one project proposal submission per team is enforced.
📥 Strict Repository & Code Submission Guidelines
To pass final evaluation gates and qualify for prize eligibility, codebases must adhere to rigorous open-source standards:
- GitHub Delivery Vector: The software stack must be hosted within a public GitHub repository, with its direct path submitted via an official internal Microsoft Form prior to the closing bell.
- Mandatory Documentation Requirements: The repo must house a fully detailed
README.mdfile featuring:- A comprehensive application architectural description.
- Full developer names paired with active contact emails.
- Flawless setup-from-scratch documentation (outlining all external code dependencies).
- Verifiable usage scripts.
- A validated Open-Source License chosen from standard open definitions.
- The Edge Computing Rule: The application must be fully runnable based on the provided guide. While hybrid edge-to-cloud architectures are permitted, the absolute majority of data computation, model weights, and system logic must execute locally at the edge.
