📌 About the Program

The Startup Competition-2026 (Best Startup Award) is an entrepreneurial initiative organized by the National Centre for Innovation in Distance Education (NCIDE) in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

The competition aims to foster the spirit of Atmanirbhar Bharat by identifying, supporting, and nurturing student and alumni entrepreneurs from IGNOU who have established startups or possess viable, innovative business ideas.

  • Round 1 (Screening): Shortlisting of submitted startup details by an expert committee.
  • Round 2 (Pitching): Shortlisted candidates pitch their startup/business venture before a panel following a standardized presentation template.

• Must be a currently enrolled student or an alumnus/alumna of IGNOU.
• Applicants must either have an existing startup / innovative business venture or intend to launch a new startup venture.
