Switch Day 2026 – Case Competition is a sustainability-focused case challenge organised as part of Switch Day 2026 at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Participants are tasked with creating a practical five-year blueprint for IIT (ISM) Dhanbad as the institute enters its centenary year. The case focuses on three interconnected areas—energy transition, clean mobility, and water, sanitation & waste management—with teams required to develop feasible solutions within a total budget of ₹9 crore. The competition progresses from baseline analysis and planning to a final pitch before faculty and industry judges.

• Host Institution: IIT (ISM) Dhanbad
• Event: Part of Switch Day 2026, scheduled from October 2–4, 2026.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Participants should therefore check the registration form for any additional eligibility or team-composition requirements before registering.
• Teams must develop a five-year sustainability blueprint for IIT (ISM) Dhanbad.
• Solutions must address all three areas: energy, mobility, and water/sanitation/waste.
• The overall proposed expenditure cannot exceed ₹9 crore.
• A minimum of 20% of the budget must be allocated to each problem statement.
• Participants are expected to turn their analysis into an actionable plan and defend their proposed approach during the final presentation.
