The Tata Social Enterprise Challenge (TSEC) 2026 – 14th Edition is a national-level social entrepreneurship competition jointly initiated by Tata Sons and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta). It aims to identify, support, and scale promising social enterprises and innovative ideas capable of creating sustainable and measurable impact in India. Participants get access to mentorship, investors, incubation opportunities, business support, and potential funding.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules
- Eligibilty:
- Teams with an existing social venture or an idea capable of creating sustainable social impact can participate.
- A team can be represented in the competition by a maximum of two members.
- There is no restriction on the age or background of applicants.
- Idea-stage applicants must have a proof of concept, such as a prototype.
- Existing ventures must not be more than five years old.
- Applicants do not necessarily have to be Indian nationals, but their venture must aim to create social impact in India.
- Enterprises selected as semi-finalists in the previous edition are not eligible for selection.
🏆 Benefits for the Participants
- Cash rewards of up to ₹10 lakh are available for the winner, first runner-up, and second runner-up. The official site has not yet specified the exact 2026 split among the three positions.
- Final-stage teams get an opportunity to pitch for seed funding of up to ₹1 crore, subject to investment criteria and successful due diligence.
- Grand Finalists can apply for incubation at IIM Calcutta Innovation Park.
