Underbridge - INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURE COMPETITION
Buildner
📌 About the Event
Underbridge is a global architectural ideas competition that addresses the critical shortage of urban living space by focusing on the “voids” beneath city infrastructure. Participants are challenged to transform the often neglected and noisy spaces under bridges into vibrant, sustainable, and affordable housing communities. This competition, part of the Buildner Affordable Housing series, encourages designers to think outside the traditional city grid and develop modular, eco-conscious residential units that can coexist with existing transportation networks. It is a rigorous exercise in acoustic engineering, structural safety, and social urbanism, aimed at creating scalable solutions for the world’s most densifying cities.
