USAII® Global AI Hackathon 2026 is a global virtual AI hackathon by the United States Artificial Intelligence Institute (USAII). It is designed for students who want to build practical, responsible AI solutions for real-world problems. Students work in teams, build prototypes or demos, and submit their projects on Devpost. No prior hackathon experience is required, and no-code/low-code projects are allowed

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Open to students aged 14+
• Eligible for high school, undergraduate, graduate, master’s, and doctoral students
• Team size: 2–5 members, Cross-college and international teams are allowed

🎯Rules and Evaluation Process :

• Team Rules : Must have 2 to 5 members, Mixed-level teams compete in the highest education-level track represented in the team
• Note : Companies and professional organizations cannot participate
• Qualifier Round : The AI Readiness Qualifier is mandatory. No coding is required in this round. Tests problem understanding, AI thinking, responsible AI awareness, and clarity
• Final Submission : Teams must submit an AI-based solution on Devpost
• Accepted formats : Coded projects, no-code/low-code tools, Figma demos, GitHub repos, or Jupyter notebooks
• Submission:
  • Project title and description
  • AI architecture
  • Responsible AI guardrails
  • Tools and data sources used
  • 3–5 minute pitch video
  • Demo or prototype link

• Cash Total Prize Pool : US $15,000 in cash prizes across High School, Undergraduate, and Graduate tracks.
• Includes USAII AI certification scholarships, certificates, and recognition opportunities.
• Grand Prize: US $2,500 + scholarship
• Runner Up: US $1,500 + scholarship
• Third Place: US $500 + scholarship
• Best Responsible AI Design: US $250 + scholarship
• Best Social Impact: US $250 + scholarship
