📌About the Event

V-Guard Big Idea Competition 2026 is a national-level student innovation challenge by V-Guard Industries Limited. The competition gives college students a platform to solve real business, product, technology and design problems linked to V-Guard’s future growth. The 2026 edition is expected to have two major tracks: Big Idea Business Plan Competition for MBA students and Big Idea Tech Design Competition for engineering and design students. It is a strong opportunity for students to present bold ideas, get industry exposure, and compete for cash prizes, PPI opportunities and recognition from V-Guard leaders.

  • Initial registration and submissions are expected to be online through the official V-Guard contest portal.
  • Final shortlisted teams are expected to present at the finale; the previous official format had the finale in Kochi.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• For Business Plan Competition:
  • Students pursuing a two-year MBA or equivalent course from a recognised institution are eligible.
  • Both first-year and second-year MBA students can participate.
  • Fourth and fifth-year students of Integrated MBA or equivalent courses are also eligible.
  • Students from any specialisation can participate.
• For Tech Design Competition:
  • Students pursuing B.Tech, B.E. or B.Des from IITs, NITs, NIDs, or authorised private/government/deemed universities or institutes in India are eligible.
  • Students from any specialisation can participate.
  • Current official rules mention eligibility for 3rd and 4th academic year students.
  • Basic knowledge of electronics, design principles and programming is listed as a prerequisite.

• Business Plan Competition prizes on current official page:
  • Winner: ₹3 lakh
  • 1st Runner-up: ₹2 lakh
  • 2nd Runner-up: ₹1 lakh
  • Special Jury Awards: ₹25,000 each
  • Additional incentives: Pre-placement interview opportunity and paid summer internship opportunity for eligible finalists, subject to vacancies.
• Tech Design Competition prizes on current official page:
  • Winner: ₹1.5 lakh
  • 1st Runner-up: ₹75,000
  • 2nd Runner-up: ₹50,000
  • Special Jury Awards: ₹10,000 each
  • Additional incentive: Finalists may get a pre-placement interview opportunity with V-Guard, subject to available roles.
