• Who can participate:

  • Anyone can enter, regardless of professional experience or academic background.
• Eligible participants include:

  • Doctors and healthcare professionals
  • Biomedical and scientific imaging specialists
  • People documenting lived experiences of health and wellbeing
  • Participants do not need to be associated with Wellcome or any research institution.
  • Collaborative work may also be submitted.
  • Participants must own the copyright or have the copyright holder’s permission to enter the work.

• Total prize fund: £52,000
• Striking Solo Photography winner: £10,000
• Storytelling Series winner: £10,000
• Scientific and Medical Imaging winner: £10,000
• Remaining 22 selected entries: £1,000 each
• The three category winners and 22 additional finalists will collectively form the competition’s Top 25.
• Selected work is planned to be displayed in a major physical exhibition in 2027.
