📌About the Event

The Wipro earthian Biodiversity Competition 2026 is a nationwide sustainability competition for school students that encourages them to explore biodiversity in their local ecosystems through hands-on activities, observations, data collection, and analysis. Teams then connect their findings with larger ecological and social issues and prepare an analytical essay of around 2,500 words. The initiative is part of Wipro earthian, Wipro Foundation’s sustainability education programme for schools and colleges across India.

🎯 Eligibility & Rules

• Eligibilty:
• Open to schools across India.
• Students studying in Grades 6 to 12 can participate.
• Each team must contain minimum 2 and maximum 5 students.
• A teacher must act as coordinator/facilitator, while the primary work, ownership and presentation should come from students.
• Teams can ideally include students from different classes/groups of the same school.
• Participants must complete the biodiversity activities prescribed in the competition booklet.
• The project should demonstrate genuine fieldwork, observations and critical analysis rather than only theoretical research.

🏆 Benefits for the Participants

• 25 teams will be shortlisted for the best projects.
• 25 Special Awards will be presented.
• Each winning team receives a ₹50,000 cash prize.
• Shortlisted teams will be hosted at the Wipro earthian Annual Awards, where they will be felicitated by Wipro leaders.
• Participation certificates will be given to all teams that successfully submit their projects.
• Winning schools and students can also become part of Wipro earthian’s Continuous Engagement Programme in sustainability education.
