About the work from home job/internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Create the MVP including defining the functional specifications.
2. Collaborate with like-minded passionate robotics enthusiasts to design and deploy complex interfaces with robotics, machine vision, and applications and help in developing robots that can cut many of the manual jobs we do today.

As part of the process, we will be having regular stand-up meetings and the development will be in an agile environment. Everyone's inputs are valued and once we have the functional specifications detailed, we will move toward the manufactured product. Continuous iteration including testing of the modules developed will be required. Stage 2 of the development process will involve programming the robot on an actual working prototype and ensuring that the robot functions in its environment with first simulated behavior and then to the actual working environment.

We are looking for robotics developers with experience in developing and implementing software systems for a robotics startup. We are charting new territory in defining how the robot will work, move, and feel including its architecture. We are looking for self-starters who have a passion for robotics and are unique thinkers.

Other requirements

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science, robotics, electrical engineering, or a related field

• Relevant experience with software development/robotics software development is needed. Years of experience are not necessary, however, the passion and willingness to learn to design and develop as we move forward are.

• C++ experience preferred

• Demonstrated experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) frameworks such as YOLO or TensorFlow and OpenCV preferred

• Proficient with programming languages such as C++, Python, and Java preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Experience with software development best practices such as Agile, CI/CD, and version control preferred

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus
