Aasra Welfare Association (AWA) is a not-for-profit organization working tirelessly for the welfare of waste pickers towards their holistic development through health, education, economic development, and social inclusion. Since its inception, the organization has worked upon various distinguished projects concerning garbage and its management, diverting waste from landfills to material recovery and recycling, supporting a circular economy. Aasra Welfare Association provides end-to-end waste management solutions as well as advocates for the welfare of waste-pickers, aka, Safai-Sathis. With over 30+ years of rich experience in the dry waste recycling sector, Aasra Welfare Association understands enhancing materials' quality and worth and has built strong networks in recycling and upcycling of materials. Our strong advocacy on the Waste to Value' chain brings together our fellow citizens and Friends of Aasra' in bringing this to reality by segregating waste at source.
