Borosil Glass Works (BGWL) is the market leader for laboratory glassware and microwavable kitchenware in India. Established in 1962 in collaboration with Corning Glass Works, USA, and later taken over by current promoters in the year 1988. Borosil is proud to serve Indian and international customers for more than 50 years. An IIM study finds that Borosil is amongst the top 20 brands recalled in India. Borosil is the pioneer of the consumer ware microwavable segment in India, with the name 'Borosil' being almost generic to microwavable glassware.
