Carma explores how circular fashion can contribute to human development to achieve "meaningful fashion". "Meaningful" in this context means prioritizing people and ensuring they can live lives of dignity and opportunity. Currently, the global fashion system adopts a conventional economic growth model that solely focuses on growth. Evidence suggests that economies and societies based on growth and consumption do not necessarily lead to increased levels of human happiness or wellbeing. Instead of solely pursuing economic growth, there is a need to reorient our way of life towards human and ecological wellbeing.
