The Centre for Social Markets (CSM) is an independent, non-profit organization that works to create more environmentally, socially and culturally sustainable societies. CSM assists transformation- social, economic and institutional- for the public interest by harnessing the potential of small-scale entrepreneurs, producers, civil society organizations and citizens from across the rural and urban spectrum. Founded in 2002, CSM has been one of the early proponents of climate action and has championed the need for responsible business practices that would lead the transition to a greener and more sustainable future. CSM has been working with various prestigious partners and donors including the government of the European Union, Fairtrade International, The Coffee Board of India, Cafe Coffee Day to name a few.
