Century Flour Mills Private Limited is a manufacturer and seller of wheat flour products that was founded by Dr.P.Maruthai Pillai and Sri.P.Govindaswamy in the year 1953. In 1955, milling equipment, with an initial capacity of 25 MT per day, was installed and became the first pneumatic mill established East of Suez incorporating the direct pneumatic lift system. The company continued on its trajectory of expansion and today, the combined milling capacity is at 290 MT per day. Century Flour Mills products are marketed under the -Rising Sun- brand and are amongst the best in the country. The products manufactured are refined wheat flour (maida), wheat flour (atta), semolina (suji), and bran which are known for their superior and consistent quality. The company has been milling an average of over 80,000 MT per annum.
