About Community Streeties India - An Initiative By Sharanaksh
Sharanaksh is a non-profit trust dedicated to the rescue, care, rehabilitation, and re-homing of neglected/abused dogs. The word -Sharanaksh- has been derived from Sanskrit words Sharanam (meaning shelter) and Raksha (meaning to protect). This animal shelter under the Trust is called Community Streeties India (CSI). This trust was established in August 2018 by a group of avid animal lovers led by Sai Geetha. We have named the shelter 'Community Streeties India'. CSI is located in Devanahalli (Bangalore Rural, India). We believe that all living beings have an equal right to our Earth's resources and to live without pain, suffering, and desperation. CSI is now home to 160+ dogs (pups, young adults, and elderly dogs who are happily living out their days at the shelter). We have rescued over 1500 dogs in the past decade in both individual and CSI capability, and apart from rescue we provide 450+ meals daily to the community dogs in South/Bangalore Rural since 2003.
