About Eikas Foundation

Eikas Foundation is a not-for-profit initiative working on the vision of education for the head, heart, and hands. We are currently focused on the following domains: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The approach focuses on helping children develop critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, and other soft skills through a child-driven process of inquiry, investigation, and discovery using the school curriculum as a vehicle. We help with social-emotional learning (SEL)/life skills: develop self-awareness, self-management, critical thinking, relationship skills, and social consciousness in children through discussions, activities, and service projects. We also work in community engagement: kindle the children's connection with the larger community by identifying opportunities for them to serve, networks of mentors and organizations to guide their endeavors, and spaces for sharing these experiences and nurturing the spirit of service.
