About Factly Media & Research

Factly Media & Research is a one-of-its-kind public information initiative in India. As a verified signatory of the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) and a third-party fact-checking partner with Facebook, scrutiny of facts and debunking fake news are among the many things we do. A well-known data journalism portal, Factly produces policy explainers and different YouTube series on policy matters and fake news. Factly Labs is the technology wing at Factly that works on various solutions for journalism tech. Factly Labs was started to primarily address the technology needs at Factly, but we quickly realized that the solutions developed for Factly would benefit media organizations of all sizes. We have since developed various open-source projects and will continue to develop more solutions while building a vibrant open-source community around these projects. A young team of committed individuals hailing from diverse backgrounds makes up Factly.
