About GEDY India

GEDY India is a non-profit organization working for the promotion of participatory democracy, livelihood, capacity building, environment, and youth development. GEDY stands for 'Grassroot Empowerment and Development by Youth'. It was founded by a team of young professionals from India's premier institutes, in October 2017. We, the youth with nerves of steel, muscles of iron and ignited minds, have resolved ourselves to transform our motherland into a land of justice, prosperity, and sustainable development. At GEDY, we work for the empowerment of the mass of India to promote the democratic value and responsible citizenship. We believe that when people will be aware of their rights and duties and will participate in the process of governance as an informed citizen, then only democracy can be realized in the true sense.
