About GIRLHOOD*

GIRLHOOD* is a global media platform and community powered by girls and their stories. We believe girls' voices matter, and we're building a space for them. We run a training program for creators, are building a kind & creative digital community for girls/young women globally, and we publish girls' and young women's voices and stories. Our community includes girls from over 20 countries, and we're now building and expanding. GIRLHOOD* is created by Masuma Ahuja, a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author who has worked at the Washington Post and CNN. Our team and advisors include leading journalists, writers and filmmakers, and artists. GIRLHOOD* is part of the Google News Initiative Startup Lab in Europe.
