The group was started with humble beginnings, in Chennai, as Mahaveer Industries in 1982 and manufactured LABSA through the Oleum process. Later on in due course it converted into a private limited company, Mahaveer Surfactants Private Limited, the flag ship company of the group, in the year 1998 backed with a fully automated manufacturing process. The group's top management & operations team operate out of Chennai, where the group is currently headquartered. The group consists of 8 companies into manufacturing of various chemicals & fertilizers used across various industries such as FMCG raw materials, paints, water treatment, etc. The group employs in excess of 100 people and has a group level turnover in excess of 300 crores having its operations spread across South India & also into exports.
