About MUKTI

Since its founding in 2003, MUKTI, a non-profit socio-economic organization, has been committed to promoting human development in the Delta region of the Sundarbans, a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as in more than ten other districts of West Bengal. Over a million people's lives have been favorably influenced by MUKTI every year, thanks to the tireless efforts of a group of enthusiastic and driven professionals. This comprises more than 7,000 children, 30,000 women via self-help groups (SHGs), and almost 150,000 households. MUKTI complies with all legal and regulatory obligations as a registered trust, including FCRA compliance, TISS empanelment, CSR Form-1, 12A, and 80G. The organization has the backing of more than 100 businesses worldwide. Notably, MUKTI was the first company to register on the NSE-Social Stock Exchange in West Bengal, eleventh overall in India, and the third in the country to be fully listed under the NSE-Social Stock Exchange.
