OpenHouse is reimagining the future of after-school education. We believe learning is not about the rat race but about enjoying the process. Learning is fun with friends and the community. A community of students, parents and the best-curated educators is what we plan to build. Founded by Stanford graduates, OpenHouse is headquartered in Bangalore. COVID-19 has reshaped every aspect of our lives; education is no exception, with the world learning to learn online. However, ed-tech so far is designed only for access, not engagement and retention. Children consume content (pre-recorded or live) and practice MCQs. But the learning doesn't feel natural, warm, or relatable. If our children are going to learn online, we will have to make it a social and immersive experience. We believe we're amongst the first few companies in the world pushing ed-tech to a new era of highly social and community-driven learning.
