About Tata Memorial Hospital

Governed by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), GOI, The Tata Memorial Centre (TMC Mumbai) amongst others, comprises primarily of the Tata Memorial Hospital, (TMH Mumbai) and Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. TMH Mumbai is a 629-bed hospital spread over 53,890 sq. meters. ACTREC in Navi Mumbai is a translational and basic science center established to conduct cancer research. TMC Mumbai heads the fight to combat the menace of Cancer in India and has been at the forefront of this battle since the 1950s. TMC has many firsts to its credits, including India's first Bone Marrow transplant unit. Today, TMC is a globally recognized behemoth in clinical and translational cancer research that very often is practice changing.
