Temperate Technologies provides farmers with access to decentralized post-harvest solutions such as cold rooms to increase the shelf life of fruits and vegetables, and in the process, increase their incomes. Our solutions consume 50-80% less energy than traditional refrigeration-based solutions and are especially suitable for off-grid solar-powered installations. We provide solutions for short-term storage and transport of daily-use fruits and vegetables and long-term storage of onions. Our solutions are based on a patent-pending energy-efficient cooling system. We are supported by many agencies of the Government of India (BIRAC, DST, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare), Tata Trusts, Citi Bank, DBS Bank, UNIDO, the Government of Telangana, and BEE. We have also been recognized as the best Agri start-up by ICAR NAARM.
