The idea is to use the wealth-creating power of business to do social good by donating 100% of the profits generated to efficient and ethical NGOs (e.g. Akshaypatra) to educate, feed, and care for people in need. If an HUL were functioning like this ~ Rs 9000 crores would be the annual donations to NGOs - 50 times what HUL would be doing right now under CSR.
