As the name suggests, the word learning facilitator also means that all of us are learning too. We hope that your contributions to this institution will strengthen its function and bring us closer to our objectives and goals. We also hope that, in the process, you will find opportunities and avenues to grow as an instructor and mentor to our learners and other team members.
We are currently in an online-only mode. Our learners will meet at our distributed learning spaces after we commence in-person expert facilitation. One of the notions in education we are disrupting is that learning can and does happen everywhere and is not limited to any one space. Hence, learners will be recommended to go to other locations, both our centers and also other places and sites in the city. You must be open to traveling with and without the learners from and to all sites and spaces.
We encourage learning facilitators to use a learner-determined approach and a variety of instructional materials and methods to cater to the needs of all learners. Understanding the behavior of learners is an important aspect of reaching out to them. We encourage learning facilitators to customize instruction so that it takes into account the behavior as well as motivating factors of all learners. To assist recruits in this endeavor, we have developed several teaching methods. We encourage all learning facilitators to try these out as much as possible. Lesson plans can also be developed to include material that has not already been researched by Beyond 8. We welcome innovations and will help you develop your ideas and work collaboratively on them with other learning facilitators.
