Google Technical Services is a global support and operations team, with a mission to delight our customers with care so good, it’s got to be Google. Our team is the face of Google to most of our customers, and we want their Google support experience to set new standards, just like Google’s products do. Our team cares for customers by solving problems and scaling solutions, incubating new Google products, and sharing user feedback with internal teams to influence product development. We support a wide variety of products, from Ads to Project Fi and just about everything in between, and our customers include advertisers, consumers, partners, publishers, retailers, and our own Sales Googlers.
The role: GCOps Reporting Operations Intern
The Google Technical Services, Scaled Services Reporting Operations team has the critical responsibility of ensuring our advertisers achieve their marketing objectives using Google’s different online advertising platforms like AdWords, YouTube, DoubleClick, etc. We deliver “best-in-class” analytics solutions leveraging technology, deep product expertise and extensive knowledge of our advertiser’s marketing objective. Navigating ambiguity, thriving in a fast-paced, global, and cross-functional environment, and effectively harnessing analytical and/or technical skills to build solutions are key aspects of this role. During your internship, you will work with Googlers globally and cross-functionally across teams to drive innovative solutions at scale.
Responsibilities:
  • Be part of a global project with one or more of the following objectives: sizing opportunity for analytics solutions for one of our advertiser segments, identifying opportunities to build new solutions, understand customer /advertiser needs
  • Establish strong stakeholder engagement: drive impactful conversations with multiple audiences at all levels across Sales and Services teams
Minimum qualifications:
  • Be currently enrolled in an MBA graduate program, with an anticipated graduation date in 2019
  • 3 years of experience in working with Internet technical products/digital marketing/business process and/or a customer experience team
  • Analytical experience and experience analyzing data to identify problems and implement solutions
Preferred qualifications:
  • Knowledge of SQL / R / Data Analytics tools OR Six Sigma
  • Strong project management skills with flexibility and demonstrable ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
  • Keen interest in search and online advertising and the ability to drive customer satisfaction through direct and/or scalable sales and support initiatives
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills conducive to team development, as well as excellent creative written and verbal communication skills
