Yes, every intern participating in the Prime Minister Internship Scheme will receive monthly financial assistance of ₹5,000 for the entire 12-month internship period. This amount will be disbursed as follows:

  1. The partner company will provide ₹500 per month, contingent on the intern’s attendance and adherence to company policies, including good conduct.
  2. Once the company has made the payment, the Government of India will transfer the remaining ₹4,500 directly to the intern’s Aadhaar-linked bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
In addition to the monthly assistance, each intern will also receive a one-time grant of ₹6,000 from the Government of India after beginning the internship. This grant will be disbursed through DBT.

Further, each intern will be covered under the Government of India's insurance schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, with the government covering the premium costs. Additionally, the company may offer supplementary accidental insurance coverage to the interns.
