About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Evaluate customer requirements and develop solutions for turnkey machine vision system for manufacturing applications
2. Evaluate and select lighting and optics to create imaging front end
3. Work on data collection of the samples provided by the customers
4. Prepare feasibility report
5. Integrate a turnkey machine vision system with robot and automation equipment and make adjustments, troubleshoot, and debug the system.
6. Travel and work in a factory environment to install and support machine vision systems to make sure all machines are qualified and ready for production according to schedule
7. Provide supervision to other team members at machine builder sites and contract manufacturer (CM) production sites
8. Help prepare standard operating procedures for machine vision setup, train other team members and provide support during overall machine setup and maintenance
9. Troubleshoot and analyze the issues that happened on site, and provide failure analysis (FA) reports
10. Communicate with both internal and external customers to establish a good working relationship
11. Provide daily status and progress report and attend update meetings

Other requirements

Education: A diploma or bachelor’s degree in an engineering field such as mechatronics, computer technology, automation, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent will be preferred.

Languages: excellent Hindi and English (written and spoken).

Technical:

1. Automation equipment knowledge, troubleshooting knowledge, and support knowledge are desirable.

2. Familiarity with computer equipment, such as MS Windows-based PCs and Linux, is desirable.

3. Basic electrical device hookup and operation knowledge.

4. Vision-system-related knowledge is a plus.

Personal Qualification:

1. Preference for candidates who have a “do whatever it takes” attitude to achieve the teams goal.

2. Be a good team player.

3. Be hard-working, resourceful, flexible, and work well under pressure.

4. Possess good communication skills.

5. Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Be capable of providing rapid response and problem-solving; know when to escalate; and obtain help when necessary.

7. Willing to travel according to support needs. The internship may require working in a different city/region.
