Love going to art galleries and working with artists? Want to work in a two-story art gallery in Colaba? APRE Art House has opened a position for the post of gallery associate intern and is looking for enthusiastic leaders such as yourself! It's more than an internship; it's an opportunity to grow!
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Exhibition Support: Collaborate with our curatorial team to help prepare and install exhibitions
2. Assisting with research: Conduct research on artists, art market trends, and potential collaborators to help inform our curatorial decisions and programming
3. Event Support: Assist in the planning and execution of gallery events, openings, artist talks, and workshops
4. Visitor Engagement:
a. Engage with gallery visitors, providing information about the artworks, artists, and the gallery's mission
b. Foster a positive and informative visitor experience
5. Focus on completing day-to-day work
Only those candidates can apply who:
1. are available for full time (in-office) internship
2. can start the internship between 10th Jul'24 and 14th Aug'24
3. are available for duration of 3 months
4. are from or open to relocate to Mumbai and neighboring cities

APRE Art House was founded in 2016 and is located in Colaba. The Gallery runs an artist residency program in a 10,000 sq. ft. Facility in Saki Naka. APRE contributes to the diverse and multi-layered space of contemporary art and creates an innovative platform for its understanding and outreach both nationally and globally.
The gallery has executed innumerable multidisciplinary exhibitions, art fairs, events, and arts programs over the last few years. APRE aims to promote plural art culture through regular physical and virtual showcases while also continuing to develop public programming.
Prerna SM Jain has earned her master's degree in 'modern and contemporary art market and its history' from Christie's Education, New York. She has worked at several art galleries and institutions internationally. She has trained at multiple institutions in France and New York.
