About the internship
Terraria Stay Caf is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee to join our team. This position offers hands-on training in various aspects of caf operations, including customer bookings, inquiries, day-to-day operations, billing, inventory management, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate should have a passion for the hospitality industry, a keen interest in learning, and a customer-centric attitude.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Customer bookings & inquiries: Assist with customer bookings via phone, email, and online platforms. Respond to customer inquiries regarding the caf 's services, menu, and reservations. Ensure a smooth and efficient booking process to enhance customer satisfaction.
2. Cafe operations support: Learn and assist in the daily operations of the caf , ensuring cleanliness, organization, and smooth functioning. Support the caf team in managing customer flow and ensuring timely service. Assist with maintaining the ambiance and overall experience of the caf .
3. Billing & payment handling: Assist with billing and processing customer payments accurately. Ensure that the billing process is streamlined and efficient. Handle cash and digital payment methods in compliance with company policies.
4. Inventory management: Assist in the monitoring and management of caf inventory. Ensure proper stock levels and coordinate with the team to reorder items as necessary. Perform regular checks to ensure products are within their shelf life and appropriately stored.
5. Purchasing & vendor relations: Assist in purchasing inventory from vendors, ensuring the best quality products at the best prices. Develop an understanding of vendor relationships, negotiating, and maintaining communication for smooth deliveries. Learn the process of vendor evaluations and track deliveries for timeliness and quality.

Other requirements
1. Strong interest in the hospitality industry with a willingness to learn.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Basic knowledge of customer service and café operations is a plus.
4. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems is preferred.
6. A positive, proactive attitude with a team-oriented mindset.
Educational qualifications:
1. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
2. A degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related fields is a plus (but not mandatory).
