Ziegler Aerospace is seeking a talented Automation Testing Intern proficient in Selenium and Java to join our team. As a QA Automation Intern, you'll play a key role in designing and implementing automation frameworks and test cases for both backend APIs and frontend applications.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Selenium (frontend) and RestAssured (backend) in Java.
2. Write, execute, and maintain automated test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and performance scenarios.
3. Create automation scripts for API testing, validate RESTful web services, and manage authentication protocols using RestAssured.
4. Implement robust Selenium WebDriver scripts ensuring cross-browser compatibility and responsive UI testing.
5. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated scripts within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
6. Log and track defects clearly, providing detailed reproduction steps, and coordinate with developers to resolve issues.
7. Collaborate directly with developers and our leadership team to uphold the highest standards of software quality.
8. Gain practical exposure to performance and load testing tools such as JMeter to evaluate system behavior under stress.

Other requirements
1. Pursue or recently complete a degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields
2. Demonstrate strong programming skills in Java
3. Have experience or familiarity with Selenium WebDriver for UI automation
4. Possess basic knowledge of RestAssured for API testing
5. Understand TestNG or JUnit frameworks for test execution
6. Have knowledge of version control systems like Git
7. Be familiar with Postman for manual API testing
8. Show strong problem-solving and analytical skills
9. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
10. Have experience with Jenkins/GitHub Actions for CI/CD integration
11. Possess knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for test environment setup
12. Have exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling
13. Understand BDD frameworks like Cucumber
