A business analyst specializing in financial planning and analysis will play a crucial role in driving financial performance by providing insightful analysis, developing strategic plans, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conduct comprehensive financial analyses to support decision-making processes
2. Evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and communicate insights to key stakeholders
3. Collaborate with department heads to understand and analyze budget variances
4. Assist in the development and implementation of strategic business plans
5. Provide support in long-term planning, forecasting, and scenario analysis
6. Contribute to the identification of business opportunities and risks
7. Collaborate with business units to prepare annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
8. Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis
9. Gather, validate, and analyze financial data from various sources
10. Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial models for forecasting and planning
11. Develop and generate regular financial reports for management and other stakeholders
12. Customize reports to meet the specific needs of different departments
13. Work closely with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide support
14. Collaborate with accounting, operations, and other teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data

1. A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus) will be preferred.

5. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools.
6. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
