We are looking for a dynamic business & vendor research intern to assist in vendor identification, supplier negotiations, and business expansion initiatives across multiple product categories. This role is ideal for someone interested in business development, e-commerce, and supply chain management.
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Research and shortlist Chinese manufacturers for wired business headphones
2. Identify safety wear vendors for a construction industry client
3. Find suppliers for nightgowns, camisoles, stockings, and other related categories for girls and moms
4. Contact potential vendors and schedule meetings
5. Assist in pre-planning for Canton Fair 2025 vendor visits
6. Maintain vendor contact lists and update progress reports
7. Assist in negotiations, quotations, and sample procurement
8. Support e-commerce store onboarding for the construction client
9. Perform market research to identify emerging product trends

5. Candidates from NIFT/NID (fashion vendor sourcing) and IITs, IIMs, and ISB (business & research roles) are preferred

Swajat is a retail trading firm that specializes in ladies'/girls' casual/lounge/sleep/comfy wear apparel. We started our operations in July 2020 by dispatching 2 orders a month. After almost a year, we are now dispatching more than 300+ orders monthly. We sell our products with the help of online portals like Amazon, Flipkart, and Meesho and are in the process of expanding our reach to other available best-performing e-commerce portals for domestic and international use. Swajat is known for sourcing the best quality ladies' wear (in the segment defined above) within India and abroad to bring those to our precious clients. Our weblink will also be live very soon as the work is in progress, and we aim to become an independent seller with no dependency on other e-commerce platforms but keeping a presence on them.
