About the internship

A career psychology intern typically assists in providing career counseling and guidance to individuals or groups while also learning about the broader field of career psychology.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Administer career assessment tools and interpret results
2. Analyze assessment outcomes and help clients understand their career choices
3. Conduct interviews to gather personal, educational, and career-related information
4. Provide one-on-one career counseling sessions under supervision
5. Help clients explore career options based on their interests, values, skills, and personality
6. Offer support in career transitions, such as switching fields or navigating job changes
7. Assist clients with goal setting, action planning, and career development
8. Facilitate career development workshops or group counseling sessions
9. Design and prepare materials for workshops on job search strategies, career development, and workplace skills
10. Conduct research on labor market trends, industry demand, and employment opportunities
11. Gather and analyze data related to career development and vocational psychology
12. Stay updated on new developments and best practices in career counseling
13. Maintain accurate and confidential records of client assessments, sessions, and progress
14. Document client advice and track their career development journey
15. Attend supervision sessions with licensed career psychologists for insights and feedback
16. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other counselors, psychologists, or professionals
17. Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines in career counseling and psychology
18. Ensure confidentiality and respect clients' privacy throughout the counseling process
