Cloud Cost Analyst Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Developing AWS cost reporting and alerting controls and guardrails for the company
2. Auditing and defining tagging guidelines to ensure appropriate categorization of costs
3. Building automation to report on cloud infrastructure costs and operations
4. Implementing cost and control dashboards configured with an alerting system for usage
5. Identifying cost optimization opportunities and communicating with engineering/cloud architects to resolve them
6. Maintaining detailed cost allocation reports on spending by service, team, environment, cluster, and any other factors
7. Working on consistently logging cloud costs
8. Recommending cloud cost reduction measures to ensure optimal configuration
9. Preparing and automating regular reports on cloud costs, usage, and optimization efforts for the leadership team
10. Researching trends in AWS spend and providing recommendations for optimization
11. Partnering with other departments on projects that will help us optimize our AWS spend
