About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
A. Research & Topic Exploration (30%)
1. Identify regional issues, cultural stories, and historical events.
2. Dive into books, reports, archives, and local news sources.
3. Cross-verify facts and brainstorm documentary themes with the team.
B. Field Visits & Story Collection (20%)
1. Visit key locations (villages, historical sites, cultural hubs).
2. Interact with locals, community leaders, and experts.
3. Document real stories through photos, videos, and field notes.
C. Interviews & Audio-Visual Documentation (20%)
1. Conduct and record interviews with historians, tribal elders, and activists.
2. Capture emotions, personal anecdotes, and authentic voices.
D. Writing & Structuring (15%)
1. Convert research and field data into structured reports.
2. Develop topic summaries and draft compelling narratives for documentaries.
E. Content Submission & Collaboration (10%)
1. Organize and submit reports, recordings, and field documentation.
2. Collaborate with the team to refine stories and suggest creative inputs.
F. Review & Refinement (5%)
1. Fact-check information, edit research notes, and improve content based on feedback.

3. Have relevant skills and interests in research, documentation, interviewing, and storytelling.
4. Are based in Sikkim, Darjeeling, Kalimpong, or Siliguri or have a strong understanding of these regions.
5. Are passionate about regional history, culture, and socio-political issues, with a specific focus on Sikkim-based documentary projects.
🎓 Bonus: Candidates pursuing or holding a degree in mass communication, journalism, or related fields will have an added advantage.
