About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Leading efforts to counter security breaches and anticipating and reducing the likelihood of future security alerts, incidents, and disasters
2. Defining, planning, implementing, maintaining, and upgrading security measures, policies, and controls
3. Creating procedures for IT employees and training them in security awareness
4. Keeping the security systems up-to-date
5. Monitoring security access and maintaining the relevant data
6. Conducting vulnerability testing and risk analyses to assess security and performing internal and external security audits
7. Analyzing security breaches to identify the cause and to update incidence responses and disaster recovery plans
8. Verifying and coordinating security plans with outside vendors

Other requirements

1. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, or a related field.

2. 1–5 years of experience in the field, such as security administration.

3. Advanced training certifications may be advantageous.

4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal, and teaching skills.

5. Good anticipation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

6. Possess the ability to remain current on the latest technology and best practices in information security.

7. Knowledge of SIEM tools.

8. Good grip on Linux.
