In this role, you will join our global database and tech architecture team in Pune, MH and report to teh manager of teh Global Database and Tech Arch team. Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Performing daily MSSQL database administration tasks including monitoring, troubleshooting, and remediation activities
2. Planning and implementing ongoing monthly and quarterly maintenance activities including patching cycles, upgrade cycles, security and auditing cycles
3. Providing innovative leadership for ongoing daily and monthly activities including database maintenance, performance tuning, parameter tuning
4. Maintaining and contributing to internal team-knowledge documents/runbooks and SMTD
5. Communicating clearly in coordinating with infra IT teams to troubleshoot issues or to perform builds, deployments
6. Performing pre-production refreshes using both native MSSQL and EMC Networker\data domain technologies
7. Working with senior DBAs in resolving database issues, follow run book for database related activities
