Drone Pilot Internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Plan flight missions, including defining flight paths, waypoints, and objectives.
2. Conduct risk assessments and site surveys to identify potential hazards and obstacles.
3. Perform pre-flight inspections of the drone and all associated equipment, such as batteries, cameras, and sensors.
4. Ensure the drone firmware and software are up to date.
5. Monitor real-time weather updates for potential changes during the flight.
6. Maintain control of the drone throughout the flight, ensuring safe and stable operation.
7. Adhere to the planned flight path and avoid restricted or hazardous areas.
8. Maintain situational awareness of the surrounding airspace, including other aircraft, obstacles, and environmental conditions.
9. Be prepared to take evasive action if necessary to avoid collisions.
10. Operate onboard cameras and sensors to capture required data, such as photos, videos, or other sensor readings.
11. Ensure data is recorded and stored correctly during the flight.
12. Download and analyze captured data, ensuring its integrity and completeness.
13. Process and interpret data as required for the mission's objectives.
14. Perform post-flight inspections and maintenance checks on the drone and equipment.
15. Report any issues, malfunctions, or incidents encountered during the flight.
16. Maintain detailed flight logs and records, including maintenance records and incident reports.
17. Ensure all documentation is up to date and available for regulatory review if required.
18. Prioritize safety at all times, for both the pilot and the public.
19. Provide clear and timely updates regarding flight status and any issues encountered.
