About the internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Export management: Identifying the manufacturer and buyers and closing deals after thorough consideration and discussion.
2. Coordinate export operations: Facilitating the end-to-end export process, with manufacturers and buyers and everyone in between, including order processing, documentation, shipping, and tracking.
3. Documentation and compliance: Preparing and reviewing export documents, such as business invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and other essential paperwork.
4. Freight management: Liaising with freight forwarders and carriers to schedule shipments, negotiate rates, and monitoring transportation arrangements.
5. Costing, accounts and negotiation: Developing competitive costing strategies in alignment with company objectives and market conditions. Negotiating contracts and agreements with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
6. Customer support: Serving as a point of contact for international customers, addressing inquiries, providing shipping updates, and resolving any issues related to export orders.
7. Risk assessment: Identifying potential risks and challenges in the export process, such as customs delays, transportation issues, or regulatory changes.
8. Compliance monitoring: Staying updated with export regulations, trade agreements, and industry best practices. Changes in international trade policies should be monitored and communicated to internal stakeholders. Conducting periodic audits to ensure adherence to export compliance guidelines.
9. Building and maintaining strong relationships with international clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

Other requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in international business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
2. At least 2 years of experience in trade/export in a similar field.
