About the internship

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform design decisions.
2. Identify the latest fashion and lifestyle trends to stay ahead of market demands.
3. Analyze customer preferences within the fashion and lifestyle industry to guide product development.
4. Support the design team by developing concepts and sketches for new apparel and accessories.
5. Assist in creating mood boards, color palettes, and design themes that align with the brand's aesthetic and customer needs.
6. Collaborate closely with suppliers and manufacturers to understand materials, fabric types, and production techniques.
7. Assist in the sampling process, providing feedback on fit, comfort, and overall quality.
8. Track and document the progress of samples, ensuring revisions meet quality and brand standards.
9. Prepare design presentations to showcase ideas and concepts to the design team and other stakeholders.
10. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure designs align with upcoming campaigns and brand storytelling.
11. Work with product photographers and stylists to create visuals that highlight the design elements and unique features of each piece.

Other requirements

1. Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in fashion design, textile design, or a related field.

2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).

3. Self-starter with a strong willingness to learn and adapt.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Strong understanding of design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

6. Basic design skills in Canva or similar tools are a plus.

7. Knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, and fabric types.

8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
